Dan just called me and he said that in five weeks he has a show where he needs to have long hair, and obviously he needs short hair for us, so we need to shoot as soon as possible really. And looking at your list I think we may need another full day (at least more than the three/four hours we planned) so I think Saturday 14th. I emailed Sarah and I'm just waiting for a reply. But to be honest, I don't think it's a major problem if he has longer hair, as long as we style it how we want it. The only thing is it depends on what exactly we reshoot because we obviously don't want him with different hair in different clips of basically the same shot, but if we're going to reshoot most of it then the difference of his hair wont be a problem.

Our Main Actor

Our main artist is played by Daniel Erman. We decided to use him as he has the right look for the artist that we want. He also has experience in acting and singing (as well as dancing) so will be able to play the part and take direction from us well. We tested him on camera and think that he looks right for the part.

Other Actor...

Our featuring artist is going to be played by Bernard Sindano. He has the perfect look and attitude for the featuring artist, and has had experience rapping in the past, so will be able portray the part well. We have tested him on camera and think that he has the right attitude for the artist.

To do...

- We're waiting for the woman who owns the studio that we are looking at to email us back so we can arrange a day to go to look at it and hopefully to book it for next Saturday.
- Decide if we want any other locations
- A final shot list
- A final shooting schedule
- Storyboard the tricky sequences

- Check up on both actors - make sure they know the lyrics etc
- Ensure we have group meetings as much as we can so we're fully prepared

Cast...

Bernard's coming on Wednesday!! Ok, so we shouldn't get our hopes up but he seemed more willing to do it this time, and he learnt half the rap without the lyrics in like half an hour literally and I told Bel to send him the lyrics so he knows it perfectly, but I think he's actually going to come this time :D. I told him to bring a hoody and trainers and said that if he can learn the song it would be really good but if not then he can just do another song he knows. Hopefully he's good, if not then we're definately going to have to ask someone else ASAP, maybe that guy in Yr 11 that I said before?

Things we need to sort out...

I just remembered about the studio...what should I say to him? Are we ok with that weekend or do you think we should film it all on green screen or find a cheaper studio?? Also, BLK said that the green screen/lights etc are all portable so we should be able to bring them here and shoot in school. Let me know what you think ASAP because I really need to email him soon if we want it in case he gives it to someone else. Oh, and have you had a chance to discuss possible actors with your brother? If not BLK has a lesson with the yr11s on Wednesday and I thought she/we could maybe ask Bert?

Cast for test shoot...

I spoke to Daniel last night. He said he can do Wednesday for the test shoot. He also said that it would be useful for us to tell him a couple of days before what we want to him to wear/bring so he can buy some clothes (I think he wants an excuse!) but I told him that we'll probably just want him to bring most of his clothes.

Cast...

Just spoke to Daniel...it's his LAST paintball tournament this weekend. But he can do Monday, Thursday and Friday evenings. And he also has Wednesday off college so I was thinking next Wednesday we could do the test shoot in lunch and our lesson against the green screen or we could do one of the evenings next week? Also he said he's been trying to learn the lyrics and said he's listened to the song everyday (bless him) and looked at the lyrics a couple of times but obviously thats harder for him so he's learning by listening. Oh, and he said theres this website that he's signed up to where you can advertise for roles your looking for, so he said he could put up an ad for the 'Tinie Tempah' part but obviously we would have to pay the actor so if we're getting the studios I don't think we could pay an actor as well.

Actors...

The person who was going to do the 'Tinie Tempah' role in our video did not turn up yesterday, after many reminders, so we will have to find someone else to play that role, as he has shown that he is unreliable. Luckily, we know early on as it means that we know his reliability before it's too late. This means that we now have to find someone new to be in our video and I have started looking, although at the moment we are working on our treatment, and so will be concentrating on that for the next couple of days rather than on finding actors. Once we have completed the treatment and have got feedback on it then we will start looking properly, perhaps holding auditions if we can't find anyone through contacts.

Locations, Actors etc...

Hope ur having a good weekend.
I've been talking to people, and I think we might be able to get the Wyllots theatre and the lighting guy for a discount possibly, but I'll know better in a couple of days.
Also, I've asked Bernard to come into school on Tuesday after school to rap a song he knows in front of a camera and to get a couple of pictures and stuff, cos I figure if he's no good for it we might as well know now. I hope Tuesday's okay for you two, it's just that he can't do Monday and the other day's are open days etc. If you can't do Tuesday I don't mind filming him on my own.
Update:
I spoke to my Aunt and she said that the guy they know works for an outside company for lighting and that he wouldn't be able to get us a discount anywhere but he apparently also does lighting for Millfield, so if we go there then he might be the lighting guy. But our best bet would be to just use the education discount. And to be honest it probably makes more sense to use like a photographic studio or something for the sort of thing we want but I dno, we can talk about it on Monday.
And Bernard would apparently write the sort of lyrics that Tinie Tempah raps in the song so he should be able to perform them well. Anyway see you tomorrow
